This hands-on CPD workshop is designed specifically for PGA Members, Assistant Professionals, and Industry Professionals who want to deepen their understanding of custom fitting by learning how golf clubs are built, assembled, and fine-tuned.

Using industry-leading equipment—identical to those found on OEM tour trucks—you’ll gain practical, real-world insights into the technical aspects of club construction and how they impact player performance.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand manufacturer tolerances and measurement differences, and how these influence fitting recommendations.
• Apply efficient and repeatable club building and assembly techniques.
• Leverage variations in club specifications to help players improve performance on the course.

Course Structure

Session One: Understanding the Industry "Standard"

• Examine how manufacturer “standards” vary and how to use these variations to optimise club performance.
• Challenge traditional fitting methods with a modern, performance-driven approach.

Session Two: Practical Application

• A fully hands-on session exploring key build techniques to achieve precise specifications.
• Learn about tolerances and the high expectations of today's golfers.
• Practical training on how to assess and manage tolerances effectively.

Session Three: Blending Fitting & Building to Elevate Client Service

• Understand the impact of swing weight, loft & lie adjustments, and head weight.
• Discover how club building and custom fitting work together to enhance player outcomes.
